Douglas has spent the last several years immersed in printmaking and fine art after a career working in branding, package design and communications.

 

His recent studies have included courses in printmaking at Central Technical School (TDSB), In-Print Collective, Articulations and Open Studio; as well as courses in painting, drawing and watercolour woodcut at Toronto School of Art.

​

Douglas' printmaking covers a variety of techniques including etching, intaglio, aquatint, drypoint, gravure, lithography and silkscreen.

 

Inspired by observations of everyday life from the serene and organic and to the urban and post-industrial, all Douglas' work is derived from his original photography and sketches reinterpreted as hand-crafted fine art prints and paintings.
